Ada Amalia De Tommaso was born on July 21, 1927 in Naples, Italy to the late Giovanni and Maria De Tommaso. Ada grew up in Naples, Italy and lived through the horrors of World War II. She would tell of the things she saw and experiences such as seeing Adolf Hitler with Benito Mussolini when she was a child in Naples, Italy. Ada would say during World War II they were starving; one day they would eat potatoes, then the next day they'd eat the peels. Ada very much so enjoyed shopping, potting and caring for her plants. She loved sports; especially Washington Capitals Hockey, Washington Redskins Football and Baltimore Orioles Baseball. Her favorite T.V. shows to watch were the Price Is Right, Judge Judy and Tucker Carlson on FOX. On 24 April 1953 Ada was married to Mr. James William Lee by Mr. Heinrich Bollier (civilian magistrate) and witnessed by Mr. Roger C. Brewin, Vice Counsel of the U.S.A. at City Hall in Zurich, Switzerland. At that time Mr. Lee was on active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Yeoman, First Class and a military court reporter in the Office of the Commander, Headquarters Support Activities in Naples, Italy. On March 22, 1954 their first son, James Robert Lee was born in Naples, Italy and on December 13, 1959 they welcomed their second son, Anthony John Lee born in Naples, Italy as well. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Chief Yeoman James William Lee USN Retired 1972 and two sons: James Robert Lee and Anthony John Lee. She is preceded in death by her parents Giovanni (May 16, 1959 Naples, Italy) & Maria De Tommasso (November 11, 1987 Knoxville, TN) her brother, Adriano De Tommaso (July 3, 2014 Knoxville, TN) and on December 2, 2020 she lost her faithful furry companion, Samantha.
