Alan Anthony Brown

June 19, 1958 — March 20, 2023

Upper Marlboro

Alan Anthony Brown was born on June 19, 1958, in Prince
George’s County, Maryland. He was the 8 th of 10 children
born to the late Charles and Helen Brown. He departed this life
unexpectedly on March 20, 2023. He was raised in Glenarden,
Maryland where he was well known throughout the neighborhood.
He was educated in the Prince George’s County Public Schools
system. Alan was self-employed and worked as a handy man. He
loved sports and he was a die-hard Redskins fan. Anyone that
encountered him loved his personality and his bright smile.
Alan was very close with his family. Alan had a big heart and
would help any in any way he could with anything. He spent a
lot of time with his mother and loved her dearly as well as his
children and grandchildren and siblings. He enjoyed Deejaying
parties and events. He wasn’t afraid to step from behind the DJ
booth and put those dancing shoes on and dance anyone under
the table. To be absent from the body is to be present with
the Lord: heaven is truly rejoicing over this angel.
Alan will never be forgotten and will forever be
cherished. He was preceded in death by his son,
Sergio Brown, parents Charles and Helen Brown,
sister Denise Woodruff, and brother Nathaniel
Brown. He is survived by his loving daughters, Jasmine
and Phallyn Brown; grandchildren: Jahmari,
Myrical and Ziare; brothers: Michael (Ann),
Charles, Stephen (Romana), and Kevin; sisters:
Jacqueline, Renee and Patricia; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alan’s loving
and giving spirit will truly be missed by all who
loved dearly.
