Albert M. Cook, Sr. of Port Tobacco, MD, formerly of Huntingtown, MD, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the age of 90. He was born on April 12, 1925, in Oxon Hill, MD, to Margaret (Hazel) and Arthur Cook. He joined the U. S. Navy and served in WWII. After his military service, Albert was employed by the Department of Defense as a Boiler Tech at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC. He enjoyed gardening, cutting grass and cheering on the Washington Redskins and the Washington Nationals. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. For over 72 years, Albert was the beloved husband of Patricia Ann (Undercoffer) Cook. He was the loving father of Ellen Belfield and her husband Robert. He was the devoted grandfather six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He is preceded in death by two children, Albert M. Cook, Jr. and Phyllis McGowen.
