Alberta (Pinocci) Magnani, aged 92, joined her beloved husband Joseph in the house of the Lord on February 12, 2023. She is survived by her four daughters: JoAnn (David); Christina: Sandra (Ralph); Gina (Robert) and seven grandchildren: Daniel; Elizabeth (Brian); Marissa; Erica (Jacob); Sophia; Isabella; Amelia. She was born in the hills of Tuscany Italy to Angelo and Eva Pinocci (deceased). She immigrated to the United States at the age of 5. Alberta graduated from formally Washington Lee High School and Benjamin Franklin University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She was employed with the Department of Defense at the Pentagon. After marrying Joseph on May 24, 1954 she raised 4 daughters and participated in their extra-curricular activities. She returned to work and retired from the Census Bureau in 1994. After retirement Alberta and Joseph traveled back to Italy several times spending time with family and friends. Alberta was an active member in the Lucches nel Mondo Italian Club of Washington, DC and member of the St. Philip Sodality. In her spare time, Alberta loved to cook; knit and sew; and play rummy with her grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 20, 2023 at St Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 5416 Henderson Way, Camp Springs, MD beginning at 10 am, and with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 am.
Entombment at Mt Olivet will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Philips the Apostle Church; Diabetes Association; Heart Association; and Summa Hospice 141 Forte Street Akron Ohio 44304.
