Alison Elizabeth Meagher

Alison Meagher passed away on the morning of November 2nd in her sleep. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Veronica, Mary Claire, Madeleine, Caroline, and Grace Pomilla; her mother Mary Meagher-Goodburn; her siblings Abe, David, Evelyn, Ken, Martha, and Mary; a slew of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear friends including Liz Chandlee, Justine Novy and Paul Pomilla. Alison was born on June 30th, 1961 and grew up in Rochester, NY.\nThere are so many things we loved about Alison. Here are just a few. 1) She had a wicked sense of humor. 2) She was one of the most determined people you could meet. She ran five marathons and had two masters degrees. 3) She loved the beach, especially Sandbridge, VA, and would play in the waves for hours. 4) She was a member of one of the wildest, happiest families around. She loved us and we love her.\nA viewing will be held on Sunday, 2-5 and 7-9, at Lee Funeral Home, and the service will be on Monday at Jesus the Divine Word at 11:30 AM with a reception afterwards.
