Alvin Taylor, Jr. (Age 75)\nCol., USAF (Ret.)\nEarly Saturday, June 4, 2011, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called Alvin Taylor, Jr. to his eternal home in heaven. Alvin was married to the the former Gretchen Vann, and father of Cheryl L. (George) Sims and Cynthia L. Taylor. In addition he leaves two brothers, Fred (Jackie) and Jerry; four sisters, Betty (James) Holbert, Ruthie (George) Rhodie, Linda Campbell and Evelyn (Larry) Shaw; two grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.\nFinal resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship Fund, Alexandria Fairfax VA Chapter or NC A&T Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, Metropolitan DC Chapter.
