Andria Yvette Tyner, of Clinton, MD, entered into her eternal rest on December 12, 2016. She was 55 years old. Andria was born on April 29, 1961, in Washington D.C. to the late Gladys and Leroy Tillery, Jr. A “military brat,” Andria spent her early years in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and later resettled with her family in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Upon graduation from high school in 1979, Andria attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland on full scholarship, and finished one year before she left to begin a family. She would later in life continue her collegiate studies in Biology at Prince George’s Community College. From her first marriage, Andria was blessed with a son, Nathaniel David, and a daughter, Niquita Myra-Yvette. Nat and Niqui were the joys of her life and she took great pride in the fact that they had grown into outstanding adults, and had become terrific parents of their own merit. Affectionately known as “GiGi” by her five grandchildren, Andria lavished her time and attention on them, and loved everything about being a grandmother. Anyone who knows Andria knew that she had a flair about her that was beyond compare. She loved beautiful things, and was particularly gifted in fashion, DIY home décor and interior design, crafting, and drawing; everything she touched exuded beauty, elegance and class. She was truly “one of a kind,” and lived her life vibrantly and out loud. Andria is survived by her son, Nathaniel David Johnson, and daughter, Niquita Myra-Yvette Davis; sisters, Brenda Lawson (David), Simone Newman (David), and Erika Tillery; grandchildren, Roscoe Davis, Kamiah Johnson, Khalil Johnson, No’El Johnson, and Nia Johnson; and nieces, Renita, Kimberly, and Lisa. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her uncles Aquirrie Hepler (Bette), Lamont Hepler (Wanda), one aunt, Philathia Hepler; as well as a host of other family and friends.
