Anna Louise Edelen, 81, of Clinton, MD quietly entered the domain of everlasting joy on July 30, 2015. Born in White Plains, MD on December 29, 1933, she is the daughter of the late Anna Wood Reed and Benjamin Reed. Anna was pre-deceased in death by her husband, James V. Edelen; two brothers, Benjamin and Raymond Reed, one sister, Mary Magdalone Williams and a host of relatives and friends. Anna was baptized at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Pomfret, MD and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Clinton, MD. Her life was nurtured and guided by a strong Christian belief. She was educated in the public schools of Charles County, MD. Anna was a very caring, loving and devoted mother; a kind-hearted and soft spoken woman, who always greeted everyone with a warm “Hello”. Anna would give her “All” to anyone who needed it. Leaving to cherish her memory is her daughter and only child, Thelma Edelen of Pacolet, SC; her devoted cousins, Patricia Middleton, Tonda Savoy-Middleton and Noah J. Kersey, to whom she was affectionately known as “Grandma Anna”; a very special and dear friend, Clarice Taylor; and a very dear, loving and devoted assistant, known as Ms. “D”.
