ANNE POTTS (Age 84)Beloved wife of the late Rex V. Potts, Sr., mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother, Anne Potts died on April 20, 2007 after a lengthy battle with end stage heart disease. She is survived by five sons, Christopher, Rex Jr., James, Stephen, and Robert. She is also survived by three daughters-in-law, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.She was born in Sheffield, England but lived in India from the age of six to 16 while her father served in the British Army. A sergeant in the British Army, she met her late husband, a sergeant in the US Army, in England during World Ward II. She was the eldest of two children, and is also survived by her brother, James Neville Byrne of Sheffield, England.She was a resident of the Washington Metropolitan area since March, 1946 and a resident of Calvert County since June, 1983. Her favorite past times included sewing, knitting, and cooking. A favorite saying was she never wanted to be a nurse or to work in a laundry but with five boys she ended up doing both.Family will receive friends at the LEE FUNERAL HOME CALVERT, P.A., 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd. (Rt. 4 & Fowler Rd.), Owings, MD on Saturday, April 28, 2007 from 1 to 5 p.m. Interment private.
