Anne Renee Railey, 71, passed away on May 28, 2023, in Prince Frederick, Maryland. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Anne loved going to the casino with her husband and playing the slots. She was also fond of cooking and eating, with her favorite foods being crab and prime rib. Anne enjoyed going to the beach, getting a tan, and indulging in boardwalk fries with apple cider vinegar.
Born on September 28, 1951, in Washington DC, Anne was the daughter of Harold and Harriet Ridgeway. She attended Suitland High School and later worked as a waitress and homemaker. Her hobbies included gambling, putting puzzles together, cooking, and traveling.
Anne is survived by her husband, Herbert Edward Railey, her children, Paul Richard Day JR, and her daughter-in-law Ann Kerstetter, Debra Prack, and her son-in-law, Charles Peacoe. She is also survived by her stepson, Rodney Railey, and daughter-in-law, Yvonne Railey , her siblings, Lisa Moore, Cindy Packett, Wallace Ridgeway, and Harold Ridgeway JR and her grandchildren Alexis Day, Travis Prack, Charles Day, Jayna Day, Bradley Railey, and Brooke Railey. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Harriet Ridgeway, and her siblings, Wendy Echard and Jimmy Ridgeway.
The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736, on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM where a Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM. Interment will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623 on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10:30 am.
