Anthony "Tony" Collova

Anthony "Tony" CollovaApril 29, 1934 - February 7, 2014 Anthony Collova, 79, of Owings, MD passed away at his residence surrounded by his loved ones on February 7, 2014.Tony was born in Washington, DC to the late Carmello and Frances Collova. He and his beloved wife of 47 years Shirley, married in November 1966 and resided in Oxon Hill, MD until relocating to Owings in 1985. Along with his wife, he is survived by his beloved son Thomas Anthony, sisters Connie De La Rosa, (Sal), Janet Snook, Eileen Pearce, (Al) and brother-in-law Michael Dorsey. Other dear family and friends include, Elaine Andre and John Palmer, Mary Ellen Gilbert, David, Angie, Danielle Gilbert and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Virginia Kane. Tony was an avid Redskins fan for 35 years. He loved fishing, crabbing, and vacations with family and friends in Myrtle Beach. His favorite restaurant was Mama Lucia's in Dunkirk. A celebration of life will be on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, P.A., 8200 Jennifer Lane Owings, MD, 20736 from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Tony to St Jude's Children's Fund, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, Calvert Hospice, P.O.
