Anthony Joseph Mileo“Tony”Ret. Prince George’s County Police OfficerTony was born in Washington DC to Anthony Bernard and Bessie Christine (Bealle) Mileo. He grew up in DC and attended McKinley Tech High School. At the age of 21 he enlisted in the US Navy where he served on the USS Forrestal for four years. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy, he fulfilled his dream of becoming a police officer. He always said it was “the best job in the world” because he was always able to help someone. He retired after 28 years on the Prince George’s County Police Force. Tony was an avid golfer; one time winning the Fantasy Golf Tournament at Avenel Golf Course and proceeding to Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas for a week of golf, where he had the honor of playing with Curtis Strange, Peter Jacobsen, Tom Weiskopf and others. On other occasions he was honored to meet Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead. Another love was horse racing. He was proud to have owned two horses that he raced at Charlestown Race Track. Tony’s true passion was his family. He loved family get-togethers and teasing and playing with the grandchildren. He will be deeply, deeply missed by his loving sweetheart of thirty years, Sharon Nomikos and by all of his surviving family; One son: Anthony Michael (Sandy) Mileo, Three daughters: Kelli (Billy) Stewart, Jessica (Roscoe) Jones and Margo Page. Eight grandchildren: Zac and Carmen Mileo, Alyssa, Ashley and Alayna Stewart, Jonathan (Duke) Marlowe, Dominic (Nicky) Jones and Sophia Jones. One sister: Dolores (Frank) Orendorf, two brothers: Michael (Louise) Mileo and Vince Mileo. Granddaddy we love you and you will always be in our hearts. May you rest in peace.
