ANTHONY ALBERT, LIEUTENANT COMMANDER, USN (RET)On January 20, 2009, at age 91 following a protracted illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years. Helen Rittenhouse Mitchell. He is survived by three sons Anthony of Gaithersburg, MD, David of Takoma Park, MD. and John of Upper Marlboro, MD; two daughters Carol Jones of Dallas, TX and Rosemary Edger of Davidsonville, MD; five brothers Russell of Camp Springs, MD, Gerald of Clearfield PA, Melvin of Dumphries, VA, Gordon of Dumphreis VA, Lester of Alexandria, Va; five sisters Joan Fimiani of Catlett, VA, Marion of Dumphries, VA, Jean Cistaro of Dumphries, VA, Margaret Grado of Ashburn, VA and Elaine Fleatcher of Boonsboro, MD; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the U.S. Navy Band Alumni Association, 3 Cambridge Drive, Hershey, PA. 17033.
