Anthony Daniel Pessagno

Anthony D. Pessagno (Danny), beloved husband of Lois Mae; father of Sue, Tony, Mary, Nick, Terry, and Jimmy; grandfather of Matt, Marie, Ashlie, Alex, Julie, Shauna, Danie, Dominic, and Marisa; and great grandfather of RJ, Sadie and Ben, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Danny had been sick for some time, and we are praying that he is resting peacefully now with his brothers Bill and Joe; his sister Liz; his mom and dad; and the 1929 Yankees, especially Lou Gehrig--his all-time favorite baseball player. He was born (August 28, 1928) and raised in Anacostia,Washington, DC. Danny was a top 20-ranked duckpin bowler in the 1950's and was crowned the Coca Cola and Washington News Classic Champion of 1958. Please keep our family in your prayers during this time of pain, healing, and love. We love you Danny/Daddy and miss you already. Family will receive visitors at the Lee Funeral Home,6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road,Clinton,MD on January 27, 2013, from 2 to 4 and6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service to be held on January 28, at 10 a.m. Burial service will follow immediately at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue,Suitland,MD.
