Antonia "Annette" Carmela Stine

Antonia “Annette” Carmela Stine, 55, of Clinton, MD, passed on December 21, 2014 surrounded by her family. Antonia Stine was born on 27 January 1959 in a town named Antillo in the Province of Messina, Sicily. Antonia was the only child of Domenic and Maria (Muscolino) Toscano. Antonia immigrated to the United States with her parents in December of 1966 and became a U.S. citizen. On August 22nd, 1979 Antonia met her future husband Michael Stine in a history class at the University of Maryland, Collage Park and on 6 June 1981 they were married. Michael and Antonia knew each other for 35 years and were married for 33 years. For 30 of those years they lived in Clinton in the Boniwood Farms development. Antonia loved ice cream cones, enjoyed the ponies on Assateague Island as well as kayaking. Antonia was a big fan of high tea and enjoyed taking her friends to high tea during the Christmas season – her favorite time of year. Antonia loved delicate beautiful things and collected a wonderful set of China over the years. Antonia leaves her husband, Michael, as well as her parents Domenic and Maria Toscano of Temple Hills, MD, and many many friends who all loved her very much. Professionally, Antonia supported the U.S. Department of Defense from 1981 until 2013. At retirement Antonia received the Meritorious Service Award, one of the highest civilian awards, from the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Reach Development and Acquisition (ASN(RDA)). She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Nancy Stine of Upper Marlboro, MD and Mary Dean (William) also of Upper Marlboro, MD. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.Antonia braved cancer with extreme strength and a positive attitude inspiring others to be strong and positive in their own journeys.
