Arthur A. Johnson Sr.

Arthur Austin Johnson, 76, of Ft. Washington, MD, died on August 12, 2015. Born in VA, he is the son of the late Katie Elva (Emmons) Johnson and Phillip Spencer Johnson. Beloved husband of Catherine R. Johnson; devoted father of Jaqueline Anne Johnson-Daughtry and her husband Jerry of PA, Michael Gene Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, Caryne Marie King and her husband Michael of Bryans Road, MD, Mary Catherine Johnson of Ft. Washington, MD and A. Austin Johnson also of Ft. Washington, MD; dear gran-pa of Chandlyr Caite Johnson; loving brother of Laura Ann Redmond of NC. Arthur worked HVAC with the federal government for a majority of his lifetime. He had his pilot’s license and really enjoyed flying. He also liked water-skiing and fishing. His granddaughter, Chandlyr, has fond memories of her gran-pa building 18 birdhouses for her backyard and that he loved to eat ice-cream. Services will be held at a later date.
