Barbara Jean Hoelscher

On May 10, 2021, Barbara Jean Hoelscher, 84, formerly of Lima, Ohio and Upper Marlboro, Maryland, passed away after a brief illness. Beloved wife of James Francis Hoelscher (deceased), mother of Katherine Vitkow, Patrick Hoelscher, Karen York, Mark Hoelscher, Kelly Hoelscher and Timothy Hoelscher, grandmother of Michael York, Nicholas Vitkow and Matthew Hoelscher, and sister to Sandra Bowman and Elizabeth Umbaugh. She will be remembered for her youthful wit, her generous spirit, her love of family and the joy and laughter she inspired in those she met. She was hardy in the face of adversity and optimistic when the odds were long. She will be missed, but remembered with a smile by all who knew her. Private Military services at a later date.
