Barbara (Bobbie) Hofmann

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Hofmann, 86, of Aquasco, MD on April 16. She was born to Norman and Ellen King.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Pete; and husband, Leo. Survivors include her son, Leo and wife, Becky of Aquasco; grandchildren, Chris and wife, Amanda of King George, VA; Sam and wife, Liz of Annapolis, MD; three great-grandchildren; Parker, Hudson and Allie, and another great-grandson due in August. Bobbie also leaves behind her loving extended family in South Carolina; Richard, Phillip and wife, Angie, along with many other friends who have taken such wonderful care of her.

Bobbie was a die-hard Redskins fan, having gone to many home games. She also loved NASCAR racing and tennis. Bobbie had a soft heart for animals of any kind. Through the years her menagerie included horses, dogs, cats, a monkey, a skunk named George, and a parrot named Sassy. She welcomed any stray that landed on her doorstep.

Bobbie was such a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 28 at 1:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland. Family and friends should meet at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd, Clinton, MD, at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
