Barbara Ann Jenkins

Barbara Ann Jenkins, 82, of Pomfret, MD, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022. Barbara was born to the late Louis Edward Cornu and Mary Elizabeth Cornu on January 29, 1940, in Washington, DC.

She began her career as a secretary for the CIA where she met her late husband, Jerry, with whom she was married to for 47 years. For several years she worked as a secretary for the C&amp P Telephone Company, but left to spend summers and holidays with her children while driving a school bus for Prince George’s County until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Beverly D. Jenkins, her grandchildren, Joshua L. Jenkins, Shanna L. Dunlap and her great granddaughter, Addison M. Jenkins. She is also survived by her sisters, Jacqueline Ruth (Ralph), Donna Burke (Patrick), Charlene Shaw (Steven) and Michele Hyson (Don), and two sisters-in-law Linda Cornu and Shirley Cornu. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

Barbara is predeceased by two brothers, Louis E. Cornu and Paul R. Cornu.
