Beatrice Kelley Doyle

Beatrice "Peaches" Doyle (Kelley) entered her eternal resting place peacefully on October 3, 2020 in Potomac, Maryland at the age of 93. Born on January 23, 1927 in Mullens, West Virginia to Authur Kelley and Elvira Kelley. She married Robert Lee Doyle Sr, an United States Army veteran and mechanic in 1948. Born to this union were three children: Rometta, Robert Jr, and Bertina. After moving to Washington, D.C., “Peaches” became a very well known neighborhood mom and cared for many children. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, and caring mother who loved them dearly. She was a caring individual who loved her family. She was also accomplished at cooking and baking. She was a dedicated member of the Full Gospel A.M.E. Zion Church and Iverson Mall Walkers. Beatrice “Peaches” Doyle is survived by her children: Rometta Shields (Ronald) of Maryland, Robert Doyle Jr (Constance) of Maryland, and Bertina Doyle of Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren: Deloria Renee Shaffer, Teresa Toomer (Tyrone), Valencea Ali (Rashid), Robert Doyle III, Marielle Doyle, Mackenzie Doyle, and Caleb Doyle; 11 great-grandchildren: Kenneth, Keenan, Kendrick, Lonel, Lemar, Liana, Laron, ZeyVion, Logan, Za’Rayah, and Za’Niyah. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Lee Doyle Sr.; siblings: Dennis, Authur, James, John, Charles, Eloise (Hooper), and Ruth; and grandson, William Rick. A homegoing celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road Clinton, Maryland. At the family’s request, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate the life of Beatrice “Peaches” Doyle.
