Betty Lou Pacheo, age 97, from Clinton MD, passed away Friday March 10th from natural causes. She was born in Mill Creek WV on March 23rd 1925 to parents Wille B. Tacy and Helen R. Simmons Tacy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Austin L. Pacheo Sr., her son William J. Pacheo (Billy), two sisters, Evelyn Parrack and Ruby Smith, two grandsons, Austin Manuel and Billy Strickland.
She graduated from Tygart Valley High School in Mill Creek WV and soon after met her husband, Austin L. Pacheo Sr. They married after 3 months, August 1943. They moved to Washington D.C. where she attended Cosmetology School. Sometime in 1950 they moved to Clinton MD where she operated her beauty shop, Betty's Beauty Bar, until retiring about 1990. She was active in the church and the community. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, sewing, crafts of all sorts, oil painting, playing piano, playing video games and reading. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by one son, Austin L. Pacheo Jr. of St. Leonard MD, one daughter, Michelle Langlois of Severna Park, MD, son-in law, Joe Langlois , 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been made for Thursday, March 16th at Lee's Funeral Home in Clinton MD with visitation from 10 AM - 11 AM, service at 11 AM also at Lee's. Her burial will follow at Washington National Cemetery in Suitland MD.
