It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Lou Craft Zalovick of Camp Springs, MD. She met the Lord on March 21st, 2023 at 87 years old and was reunited with her beloved husband John “Zack” Zalovick in Heaven. Betty was born on January 9th, 1936 to parents Annie and John Craft in Crumpler, WV. She was the youngest of 7 children and cherished being part of a large loving family. She moved to the Washington DC area when she met and married Zack, and was blessed with two precious sons, Terry and Rickey. She later became a grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed spoiling her babies however she could.
In her early career, Betty performed administrative work for the FBI and later became an associate at the A&P Grocery store where she spent many dedicated years and later retired. While she thoroughly enjoyed her work life, it was undoubtedly her love of family and God that gave her life meaning.
She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, her loyalty, her modesty and humility, every single delicious meal, warm hugs, her mathematical genius, her love of yard sales, puzzles and a good game of rummy, her playfulness, her bravery, her honesty and her love of Jesus.
She is survived by her two loving sons, their families including 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many more family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, MD for visitation on Monday, March 27th, 2023 at 1pm - 3pm followed by a service in the chapel. Interment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham will be private and held at a later date.
