Bill Garman, 85 of Upper Marlboro Maryland passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018. Bill was born on November 2, 1932 in Catawba, VA to Claude ad Dorothy Garman. He graduated from Andrew Lewis High School in 1950. He joined the US Air Force in 1952, and three years later he met the love of his life Roberta. They married in 1957, had three children Michael, Debby, and Kevin. They moved throughout various states and eventually settled in Forestville, Maryland for 37 years. His journey with the US Air Force led him to be assigned to Presidential Security on Air Force One. In this 10 year assignment he flew with Presidents Kennedy through Nixon. After retiring from the US Air Force, he joined the Capitol Police where he served for the next 20 years. His passions in life outside of work included a love for hunting, fishing, storytelling, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Roberta, daughter Debby, daughter in law Cheryl, son Kevin (Kerrie). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Billy (Heather), Gary, David (Julie), Vinny, Kaylee, Kevin Jr and 2 recent great grandchildren, Timothy and Henry. He is preceded in death by, his son Michael, his brother James, and his parents Claude and Dorothy.
