Bobbie Voletta Grigsby

Bobbie V. Grigsby\n \nOn March 25, 2010. The beloved mother of Joan D. Butts of Crossville, IL, Susan I. Bartin of Goldsboro, MD, Donna J. Mawson of Crossville, IL. Also survived by brother Daniel Holt of Okeechobee, FL; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren (one still in utero) and four great great grandchildren.\nBobbie worked for some time at C & P Telephone Company as a Telephone Operator. She was once a member of Hillcrest Heights Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. In later life she loved watching minister John Hagge on T.V. and took great solace from his ministry. She took great joy in gardening, especially tomatoes, writing poetry, visiting with family and friends and good food. Her sparkling eyes and warm smile will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Louis P. Grigsby, Jr.; son John F. Miller; great grandson James D. Mawson, Jr. and granddaughter Paula R. Butts.
