Bobbie Wasson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of

Bobbie Richard Wasson, who peacefully left us in his sleep on

February 7, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on July 27, 1931, Bob

was a devoted husband, father, grand father etc. whose love

for his family knew no bounds.

Bob is survived by his children, Tracia Adams (Chris-

deceased), Kelly Castagna (Mark), Kim Wasson, Valerie Peters

(Brian), Rob Wasson (Maureen) & Erick Wasson (Megan). He

also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 19 great

grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Orabelle Weston and

Richard Eugene Wasson, his brother Billy Wasson, his

daughter Stacia Newman and his beloved wife of over 67

years, Joanne Wasson. Bob and Joanne were the definition of

soul mates- their love and commitment to each other was

unwavering and I know she was waiting for him in Heaven.

Bob retired from the Air Force after almost 28 years of Service

and then went on to have a 15+ year career at Metro as a

Master Train Mechanic. He was very dedicated to his work

and always taught us if you were going to do something, do it

right, NO half stepping.

A man who charished family above all, showing it by being a

wonderful provider and teacher of integrity, taking us

camping almost every weekend, loading up his 7 children in

the camper and hitting the highway. Our dad will be dearly

missed and always remembered.
