Bonnie Lea Hunt, of Ft. Washington, MD passed on September 10, 2018 at the age of 66. Born in North Conway, NH the daughter of Geraldine Marcia and Donald Albert Linscott. Bonnie moved frequently during her growing up years. Her father was in the US Navy. She met her future husband and love of her life, Kenny Ray during her high school years, spent Seat Pleasant and Rockville, MD. They married on August 23, 1970. After high school, Bonnie worked for 3 years for the US Senate Restaurant before becoming a stay at home Mom to her daughters, Laurie and Valerie. She enjoyed sewing, often making outfits for her girls. After the girls were grown, she went back to work for the Board of Governors at the Federal Reserve in Washington, DC. She started as a secretary in data processing and ascended to a position as an executive secretary. She retired in 2007 after 33 years of service. Bonnie also enjoyed doing cross-stitch, gardening, working Sudoku puzzles and activities at the Moose. She, together with Ken, volunteered at many Moose functions. Several years ago, she started a program at Columbia Moose Lodge 126 providing free spaghetti dinners for veterans on Veteran's Day to honor her Dad. She assisted Ken with the Youth Awareness Program that provides scholarship opportunities for high school students who go out into the community and mentor elementary students on different problems they may encounter. She was very active in the Safe Surfin's EZ Kid's ID Program. This program enabled parent's to have complete identification information on free CD's for their children. She enjoyed sushi with her grandson, J Man and was proud of her granddaughter who is following in her great-granddad in a career with the US Navy. She will be remembered for always ending phone calls and time spent with others with “Love you”. Beloved wife for 48 years of Kenneth Ray Hunt “Ken” of Ft. Tsilis of Rockville, MD; loving mother of Laurie Lea Hunt (William Burks) of Lanham, MD and Valerie Reneé Brown of Prince Frederick, MD; cherished Mom Mom of Faith Marie Brown and Jordan William Andrew Hunt; dear sister of Sanford Linscott (Carol) of Fredericksburg, VA, Chris Linscott (Terry Murray) of Watsontown, PA and Terry Wade of Frederick, MD. Bonnie was pre-deceased by her father, the late Donald A. Linscott and her grand-daughter, the late Victoria Rae Brown.
