Boo Young Shin

On January 2, 2023, Boo Young Shin (신부영), suddenly passed away at the age of 77 in his home. Despite some health challenges, he remained a steadfast supporter of his children and grandchildren. He loved fishing, listening to classical music, and spending time with his family.

Boo Young, beloved son, husband, father, and brother was born in Seoul, South Korea on February 18, 1945. After graduating from Kyung Dong High School and Seoul National University, he worked in the industrial field. Boo Young emigrated to the United States in 1972 where he worked as an entrepreneur and local business leader. He served as the President of the Korean-American Chamber of Commerce of the Greater Metropolitan DC area.

Boo Young leaves behind his wife, Jong Hee, and sons, Philip (45) and Victor (42).

The Shin family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support from friends and family members and are especially comforted to know that so many people loved and were touched by Boo Young.
