Today our hearts are shattered as we all mourn the loss of our beloved daughter, sister, mother, and Gi-Gi, Brandy Brandi Beverly (Stuart) Hawkins, 50, of North Beach, Maryland. Her bright light and big heart left us too soon, but we will remember her warmth, love, and generosity.
Brandy was born on September 3, 1972, in Prince George's County, Maryland. The first daughter of Otto and Patty Stuart. She attended school in Charles County before graduating from Calvert High in 1990. She went on to study paralegal services, kick-starting a 25-year career in the legal field.
Family was the most important thing to her. Brandy was a dedicated mother to two amazing sons, who she loved, adored, and wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful life. If you’ve seen Brandy gaze into the faces of her children, you were likely blinded by the pure joy that radiated from her. Brandy was an outgoing person who found happiness in little things like listening to music, playing cards, relaxing outside, being at the beach, and dancing.
Brandy was comfortable with who she was what she stood for. She didn’t care about being liked as much as she cared about doing what she believed to be right. Brandy was a fierce woman who had opinions about the world and a set of values that she stuck to whether life was going well or badly. She held fast to her beliefs and defended those she loved. She impacted the lives of so many. Whether preparing case files for litigation, lobbying for permits, zoning and licenses, investigating EEO complaints, or fighting for the rights of those injured due to neglect, she dedicated her career to helping others.
Her father, Arville Otto Stuart proceeds Brandi Beverly in death. She is survived by her parents; Patricia and Lauren Vincent (Mother and Stepfather), Donna Stuart (Stepmother); her children, Shaun Schilling and Justin Wilson; grandchildren, Kayson and Shailyn Schilling; her sisters, Candy (Robert) Reynolds, Kelly (Clifton) Gross, Crystal (Johnnie) Whichard, Christina (Rich) Bazemore; brothers, Tony (Brandy) Stuart, David (Lisa) Stuart, and Christopher Stuart and many aunt’s, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
