The Lord called Brenda Ann (Garrette) Baker home to be with Him on January 23, 2021 in Waldorf, MD. Brenda Ann (Garrette) Baker was born on July 12, 1971, in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Fredrick Garrette and Adeline Comeaux Garrette. Brenda grew up in Opelousas, Louisiana. She confessed religion at an early age and baptized at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. After graduating from Opelousas High School. Brenda joined the United States Marine Corps from March 1990 to December 1993 and received an honorable discharge. While in the Marine Corps, Brenda met Darryl Baker. They united in holy matrimony in April 18, 1998. They have remained lifelong friends. To this union, three beautiful children were born. Brenda always strived to improve herself, she worked hard to earn her Associate of Arts Degree in Information System at Palomar College. After that, Brenda pursued her most notable career with Total Resource Management (TRM) as an Implementation Specialist and Maximo Instructor helping others to excel at their jobs. Brenda loved life and especially her children. She was a very caring person who loved to talk. She would spend hours conversing with anyone and everyone she met. No one was a stranger to Brenda. She also loved to cook and watch her YouTube. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick Garette, and Adeline Comeaux Garrette, one sister, Jeanette Johnson, and a brother, Jerome Garrette, Brenda leaves to celebrate her life and memory, a son, Darryl Baker, Jr., Fort Washington, MD; two daughters, Brittany Ann Baker, Fort Washington, MD and Brianna Adeline Baker, Fort Washington, Maryland; two sisters, Paigewella Pasty Riser, Houston, TX, Sandra M. Garrette (George Hollier), Opelousas, Louisiana; three brothers, Floyd Garrette, Opelousas, Louisiana, Donald Garrette, Opelousas, Louisiana, and Phillip Garette (Nikki Garrette); and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, Tammy Savoie, Opelousas, Louisiana and Sherri Bernard, Waldorf, Maryland, and many loved ones.
