Brenda C. Marshall\n\nMarshall was born April 10, 1962, and was the 10th child to Robert and Bennie Cherry of Washington, DC. formerly of Tupelo, MS. She grew up a true “DC girl” and was educated in DC public schools, where she graduated from H. D. Woodson High in 1980. She worked at the Park and Recreation Services before beginning her career at the National Rifle Association in 1983. Brenda also worked part-time at the New Carrollton Liquor Store, where she perfected her “gift of gab.” She relocated to Virginia in 1994 and pursued a career as a city bus driver for the Fairfax County Connector in Virginia were she drove for over 5 years. Brenda left the bus company to work in Administrative Services for Sallie Mae Inc. As the Head Receptionist, Brenda was the first “voice” you heard when calling Sallie Mae. She held other jobs until her untimely death.
