Buddy passed away on August 3, 2020, at the age of 67 years. A native of Broomes Island, Buddy developed a love of anything boat and water related. His love of small wooden boats spurred a shared passion with his father where they spent time together rebuilding boats. In the early 1970s, Buddy went to work for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant in the Chemistry department. In the early 1990s, Buddy worked as a painter for the Architect of the Capitol in Washington D.C. where he retired in 2015. Shortly after retirement Buddy took a part time job at Ace Hardware in Lusby, mixing paint for fun. Buddy’s outside interests included time spent at the Calvert Marine Museum building boats, kayaking with a local group of friends and volunteering at the St. John Vianney food bank. Some of Buddy’s lifetime accomplishments include contributing author of the book “Thrills and Spills” and proprietor of the Omni Painting Company. He is survived by his loving partner, Cathy. He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin Sr. and Grace and his brother Barry. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lee Funeral Home, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD.
