Catherine Alice Vann

Catherine Alice Vann was the daughter of George P. and Alice E. Diederick. In 1940, she married Michael F. Vann, Sr. They raised three children in Seat Pleasant, MD. In 1984, she retired from Bank of America after 38 years of employment and moved with her husband to Reedville, VA. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, and boating. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Kilmarnock, VA. A loving wife, mother and sister, Catherine was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Michael; her daughters, Mary C. Lancaster and Margaret M. Vann; her brother George P. Diederick, Jr; and her sister Mary T. “Terry” Garcia. She is survived by her son Michael F. Vann, Jr. (Patricia) of Bluffton, SC and five grandchildren: Margaret R. Cyr (David), Michelle “Christie” Clark (David), Michael E. Vann (Jennifer), Victoria C. Lancaster, and Carl D. Lancaster, III (Sybyl). Waldorf, MD. She was also the Great-Grandmother of Ashley Rose Fralen (Matthew), Joshua C. Clark, Michael A Cyr, Ryan C. Clark, Tyler Lancaster and Brianna Lancaster.
