Cecil Jeffery “Jeff” Trollinger, 75, passed away February 3rd, 2022 at his home in Bryans Road, Maryland due to complications from a lung problem. He was the son of Ida (Nash) and Aston Trollinger, born October 7th, 1946. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David Trollinger, Walter (Barbara) Trollinger, and Larry (Margo) Trollinger. He is survived by his brother Robert (Gail) Trollinger, his son Kenneth Burton (Michelle) Trollinger, his daughter Elizabeth Louise (Eric) Florin, and his partner, Lorna Mullenax. Jeff found his passion as an Air Traffic Controller during his service in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He loved working as an Air Traffic Controller at National Airport (DCA) and Leesburg Center, where he retired in 2007. His competitive and disciplined nature evolved beyond the military, enabling Jeff to accomplish such feats as running the Boston marathon. He was an avid runner and basketball player. He was also a huge baseball fan, and sports fan in general. He loved bowling, cards (esp. pinochle), and APBA in what little spare time he had. Jeff was also a library of knowledge which he gained through reading, traveling the world, and studying history, all of which made him a trivia master. Despite his active lifestyle, he always made time for family and helping others. He dedicated his life to his children, reaching out to old & new friends, volunteering at various nursing homes and hospitals, assisting neighbors who struggled with day-to-day activities, being a part of his neighborhood civic association, and donating to various charities throughout his life. He had a contagious laugh, a great sense of humor, and youthful spirit. He will forever be missed and will always be in our hearts. Viewing will be held from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, and Mass at 12:00 pm, Monday, February 14th, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist, Clinton MD 20735.
