Charles Douglas Brown

Charles Douglas Brown, passed peacefully on April 16, 2018 in Clinton, MD at the age of 87. Born in New York, NY Charles was the son of Lillian Storms Brown and Clarence Brown. Charles grew up in Port Chester, attending New York schools. At 19 he worked on the floor at Ledman's Dress Shop in Port Chester until 1951 when he was inducted into the US Marine Corps. He was released from active duty in November, 1953 with an Honorable Discharge. Charles was a true gentleman and had a gentle spirit. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Rhythm and Blues. He liked to tinker with electronics and loved to travel and cook. Charles is survived by his brother, Walter Brown, sister-in-law Louise Brown of Bronx, NY and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers the late Clarence Brown, Jr. "Buddy", the late Richard Brown, his sisters the late Lillian, Viola, Marie, Vera, Barbara.
