Charles (Charlie) Alfred Sellner, age 87, of Clinton, Maryland, on Sunday, February 6, 2022, in his home, in the arms of his wife and son, passed away from cancer. He was born March 11, 1934, in Clinton, to George and Lottie Sellner, the youngest of five children. He was married to his lifelong wife, Rosemary Sellner, on August 1, 1964. He proudly worked his family farm, served in the army, and worked for Prince George's County School System as a bus driver and eventual Lot Foreman, until his retirement. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening, and mechanical work of all kinds, having, among other things, built the home he and his family lived his entire adult life in. He is survived by his wife and son, Charles Edward Sellner, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Charlotte Richards, Marion Garber, George Sellner, and Pauline Rutter. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for letters from friends and family celebrating Charlie's life and the lives of those he touched. Physical letters can be dropped off the day of the funeral, or letters and pictures celebrating his life can also be emailed to cesellner@gmail.com. Donations can be made to St. Jude's or the American Diabetes Association, in his memory.
