Charles Francis Wilson, Jr.

On Thursday, July 14, 2022, Charles F. Joseph Wilson, Jr., loving father of three children, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, passed away at age 94.

Charles had many endearing names such as Dad, Pop, Paw Paw, Old Pop, as well as Charles and Charlie. He served in the Army Branch of the Military and was Honorably Discharged on January 20, 1947. Charles worked hard for the IRS, sometimes having to travel and leave his wife Snookie with their children who he dearly loved. He was a proud member of the Elks Lodge with his brother Ronald for most of his life. He enjoyed being on a bowling team with his wife, brother and sister-in-law while their kids grew up together. Him and his brother Ronald were inseparable and had a very special relationship. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and did a lot of volunteer work throughout his life. His advice to anyone about enjoying life would be to be kind, patient, work hard and always make time to stop and smell the roses. He will deeply be missed by everyone.

The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm where a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
