Charlotte Patricia Buffaloe

Charlotte Patricia Buffaloe (Hilton), 92, of Forestville MD, passed away February 2nd, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born July 2nd, 1932, in Washington, D.C. to William and Katherine (Taylor) Hilton. She graduated from Maryland Park High School. She was a lifelong Christian that dedicated her life to Christ and her family. She was a beloved member of Dunkirk Baptist Church where she spent many Sundays worshiping the Lord. Afterwards she would make her rounds visiting family. She loved hosting family dinners at her house whether it was a holiday or someone’s birthday, it was a reason for her to bring her family together. In her younger days she thoroughly enjoyed relaxing while she crocheted and did liquid embroidery. Charlotte retired from the United Brotherhood of Carpenter’s after 27.5 years of loyal service as a bookkeeper. She was a proud maw-maw and loved her family deeply. 

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Russell Buffaloe and 11 siblings Willie, Eleanor, Eddie, Marion, George, Raymond, Charlie, Virginia, Richard, Baby James and Buddy. She is survived by her son Wayne Buffaloe and his wife Linda, daughter Brenda Lester and her husband Chris. Grandchildren Jason Wyvill and his wife Michelle, Jennifer Wyvill and her partner BJ Marshall, Justin Wyvill and his wife Courtney, Ethan Stewart and his wife Brittany. Great-grandchildren Christopher, Colby, Brittany, Dylan, Kamdyn, Jason, Makala, LJ, Serenity, Justin, Caidence, Kyleigh, Mia, Elliott and Raphael. Great-great grandchildren Brayden, Liam and Rosemary as well as many other lifelong friends and family members that will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 am where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Washington National Cemetery, 4101 Suitland Road, Suitland, MD 20746.
