Christine Gill

Christine (Yeager) Gill, 94, of Huntingtown, MD passed peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2022, with her family by her side.

Christine was born January 28, 1928, to William Concer Yeager and Mary Magdalen (Christ) in Cumberland MD. She graduated from Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, worked at Kelly Springfield Tire in Cumberland as a bookkeeper until the family moved to Baltimore where she was a bookkeeper for General Motors.

Christine married the love of her life, James Joseph (Joe) Gill, May 25, 1957. Together, they raised 4 children in Beltsville MD James Jr (Gina) of Germantown MD, Kenneth (Melissa) of Charlottesville VA, Thomas (Keli) of Springdale AR and Monica Mower (Don) of Huntingtown MD. She was active with St Joseph’s Bazaar, the PTA, Girl Scouts.

Christine and Joe retired to Millville DE where she was active in the Sodality at St Anne’s and the local Blue Hen homemakers club and founded a quilt guild with her friends. She moved to Huntingtown MD with her daughter when Joe became ill. She was active with the senior center in Prince Frederick.

Christine joins in heaven her parents, siblings Regina & Joan, and her husband Joe. She is survived by her children, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, siblings Bill and Marlene, and many other family members and friends.
