Claire Alvin Kennedy, Jr.

Claire Alvin Kennedy, Jr., 94, passed away on March 29, 2016, at his daughter's home in Eglon, West Virginia. He was born in Portland, Oregon on January 24, 1922 to the late Claire Alvin Kennedy, Sr. and the late Florence A. Lebaron Kennedy. He married the late Jeanne Avril Lytle Kennedy and worked as an electrical engineer at the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C. Mr. Kennedy was very interested in his Scottish heritage and spent much time researching his ancestry. He was also an avid wood worker and enjoyed making stained glass windows. He was an active and devoted member of Bells United Methodist Church in Suitland, Maryland for 58 years. Beloved father of Avril (Jim) and the late Craig; grandfather of Alana (Wayne) and Ian; great-grandfather of Natalie; brother of Bernice and Crystal.
