Claudia T. Ogg (Dixie), 78, of Brandywine, Maryland, passed away Friday August 20, 2021, at home surrounded by her daughters and family. Claudia (Dixie) was born August 30, 1942, daughter of the late Margaret K Gardiner and Carroll Tippett. Dixie worked at Lowes as the Operator for many years. She was dedicated to her job and most importantly to her family and friends. She was a very strong woman and raised her 7 daughters to be the same. She helped raise her grandson Kevin. She enjoyed planning and scheduling family reunions each year. She loved to travel with friends and family to see all kinds of country concerts and her favorite country singer was Conway Twitty. She enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins play football. Dixie is survived by her daughters Florence Lee, Alice Largen, Rose Hight, Tina Tolbert (Billy), Susan Irvin, and Margaret Squibb (Jason). She is also survived by grandchildren Tabitha Wathen (Michael), Jennifer Shymanski (Ryan), Billy Tolbert, Melissa Marrs (John), Ronnie Largen (Sabrina), Jason Hight, Timmy Irvin, Nicole Sisler (James), Jeremy Largen (Jennifer), Jessica Breiner (Steven), Cicily Collins (Chaney), Kevin Wismer (Tina) and Tray Ogg; 31 great grandchildren, 1 sister (Sissy McKenzie (Jimbo), 2 brothers Johnny Gardiner (Gino), Charles Gardiner (Cherelle) and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Howard E Ogg Jr., daughter Frances L. Ogg-Joffe (Peanut), grandson Nathen M. Wismer, 2 sisters (Margaret and Priscilla), 4 brothers (Leroy, Ernie, Richard and Sonny), her In-Laws Alice and Howard Ogg Sr., and her son-in-law Norman Joffe. Family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 31 at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD 20735 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Interment will be at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.
