Clebert Alphanso Hudson 78 years old
formerly of Connecticut, New York, and
of Clinton, Maryland, was called home on
Thursday, February 24, 2022.
He is the seventh of 14 children born to parents
Jestina and Clarence Hudson on February
15, 1944 in Heartease District, St. Thomas,
Jamaica. He had a varied career throughout his
life - from a Supervisor, a School Teacher, and
Police Officer while in Jamaica, to a General Contractor and Electrician
in the USA.
He was twice widowed, and is predeceased by both parents, three
siblings at birth and two siblings in their older years. Mourning his loss
are his children Antoinette, Ian, and Mark, two grandchildren, six sisters
- Myrtle, Leta, Hermina, Blanch, Monica, and Majoreen, two brothers -
James and Earl, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews, and
many more relatives.
Clebert was an honorable man, a very family oriented person who
loved to be surrounded by his family and loved entertaining his family
and friends. Once he knew that family and friends would be visiting,
he would always insist on cooking a big pot of chicken soup with
smoked turkey - no matter what time of year it was. He liked to make
lighthearted conversations, and would often recall stories from his past,
which al ways turned out that there was always a morale to the story. He
also loved to tell jokes, and had the deepest, most haughty belly laugh
to go along with his jokes.
He was kind and generous to the core, and to him material things were
unimportant. He spent his lifetime giving to others - family, friends,
strangers, but never expected anything in return. An example of his
generosity was how he drove to many cities and counties in Maryland
during the height of the pandemic to find a Western Union in order that he could help someone in need.
