Cynthia Updegraff

Cynthia (Cindy) Lawo Updegraff, 62, of Clinton, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2020. Cindy was born in Alexandria, Virginia on June 4, 1957. She graduated from Annandale High School and continued to earn a Bachelors of Science from Radford College. Cindy worked as a Utilization Review Nurse for MedStar Georgetown University Hospital for the last 8 years. Prior to that she spent many years as a nurse and was a Captain in the United States Air Force. She was a faithful follower of Jesus, enjoyed Christian concerts with her sister and daughter, trips to the beach with her family, and loved celebrating special occasions over brunch! Cindy was an amazing Nana to her grandson who gave her all the joy in the world! Cindy is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, Tracy Weitkamp, Rich Weitkamp, and Oliver (Bumby) Weitkamp; her sister Lisa Corbin; her former husband and longtime companion and friend, Gerry Updegraff; her nephew, niece, and their two daughters, Samuel, Maite, Corinne, and Penelope Corbin; along with many other loving family and friends.
