Daniele Jane Chornesky

Daniele Jane Chornesky died peacefully in her sleep on the afternoon of February 27, 2023.  Born in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1950 to Mary and George Chornesky, she moved with her family as a child to Washington, D.C., where she resided for the rest of her life.  She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and earned her B.A. from Roanoke College.

Daniele lived a life of courage and tenacity in the face of daunting lifelong health challenges.  She was quick-witted, imaginative, and very resilient, and she met her final years with an open heart and generous spirit towards her family, friends, and helpers.

Daniele will be missed by her loving brother Adam, sisters Alexia and Elizabeth, and caregiver Beatrice.  She was pre-deceased by her parents, Mary and George.

The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane Owings, MD 20736 on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm where a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 10155 Ward Road Dunkirk, MD 20754.
