David Bryan Bashore

David BashoreDavid B. Bashore, 89 of Solomons, Maryland formerly of Annapolis, Maryland died Wednesday February 14, 2007 at his home. Born in Annville, Pennsylvania he is the son of the late David B and Minerva Iceman Bashore and loving husband of Lucille Bashore. He is survived by four children Connie Bieber of Tabernacle, NJ, Ruth Bashore of Edgewater, MD, Bryan Bashore of Belleville, IN, Nancy Jones of Owings, MD, Gail Bashore of Rockville, MD and Conrad Bashore of Deale, MD. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Brother of Henry, George and Bob Bashore, Edith Kreiser and the late Paul Bashore Family will receive friends on Tuesday Feb 20, 2007 6 - 8 pm at the Lee Funeral Home Calvert, P.A. 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd (Rt 4 and Fowler Road) Owings, Maryland Where services will be held at 10 AM. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland. David graduated from Lebanon High School in 1934. Following active duty in the Navy 1937 to 1941 he worked at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA from 1941 to 1946 and while there he met and married the former Lucille Grace Nalls in 1942. In 1946 David transferred to the US Naval Research Laboratory where he worked as an Engineering Technician in Upper Air Research Physics until he retired in 1972. He also served in the US Naval Reserves from 1946 to 1966 retiring as a Navigations Senior Chief Machinist Mate. Mr. Bashore was a member of Seat Pleasant Masonic Lodge No. 218, AF&AM, Royal Arch Masons, the Scottish Rite, Almas Temple and Veterans of Foreign Wars. In retirement, David pursued his lifelong love of photography and traveled frequently throughout the United States and the world. He also pursued an interest in real estate as an agent and broker with Stan Ridgeway Realty in P.G. County and Champion Realty in Annapolis, MD Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
