David Matthew Toman, age 87 of Forestville, MD, passed away on June 8, 2019. Beloved husband of Helen Rita Toman (deceased); Loving father of Michael David Toman (Vicki) of Gaithersburg, MD, Debra Ann Carignan (John) of LaPlata Md, Paul Thomas Toman (Mary) of Clermont, FL, Anna Marie Navarro (Juan) of Centerville, VA and Vincent Anthony Toman (Susan) of New Market, MD. David had (20) Grandchildren: Sean, Ryan, Courtney, Kristen, Justin, Matthew, Cady, Traci, Krista, Cari, Nicki, Gary (deceased), Johnathan (deceased), Rebecca, Erinn, Mark, Danielle, Beverly, Rebecca, and Holly and (23) Great-Grandchildren: Bailey, Taylor, Aiden, Avery, Daylie, Daaven, Naaman, Aubrey, Nathan, Ryder, Morgan, Shelby, Brayden, Peyton, Zoey, Quinn, Brayden, Jonathan, Caleb, Violet, Jude, Jack, Murphy and many nieces and nephews. David was always a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. After the loss of Helen, David missed her dearly and never really recovered from her loss. He always remembered every birthday, anniversary and Christmas holiday by continuing the tradition he and his wife Helen started years ago, of sending cards to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren up to the day before he passed away. He was married to Helen for (64) years. David was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit for over (50) years. David was a Redskins fan, liked an occasional glass of wine, but most of all loved being with his family. He hosted many memorable family functions which sometimes would include crabs and beer. David constantly proved to everyone to be the model of the true meaning of devotion to spouse and family. Family will receive friends at the Lee Funeral Home, Inc. Branch Ave and Coventry Way, Clinton, MD on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 1717 Ritchie Rd. Forestville, Md 20747 on Friday, June 14 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with a final viewing between 10 and 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, Md.
