David B. Watkins

David “Barry” (Dave) Watkins, 69, of Upper Marlboro, MD, passed away, Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at his home. Dave was born January 22, 1947 in Washington, DC to David and Essie (Watkins) Leister. He graduated from Oxon Hill High School in 1967. Dave was employed in the automotive industry until his retirement in 2003. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids whenever he could. Dave is survived by his two daughters, Darlene (Jimmy) Weber, of Waldorf, MD, Julie (David) Rife of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Nicole Bishop (Jack), David (Tony) Rife, Jessica Riser, Kayla Weber, Anna Rife, Jake Davidson; 3 great grandchildren; his sister Helen K. Watkins; his brother Michael Carpenter; nieces Corie Scopp, Brianna Carpenter, nephews Chris Hallman, Travis Carpenter and several great nieces and great nephews.
