"DC" Daley Clinton Russell

SFC Daley C. Russell Sr. was born on December 7, 1937 to Ervin Russell and Katherine Beckett Russell, in Hampton County, South Carolina. He departed this life on March 10, 2020. He was the second oldest of four children, two brothers, Emanuel Russell and Melvin Russell. His parents and brothers pre-deceased him. Daley (Clinton) was baptized at Good Hope Baptist Church in Estill, South Carolina at an early age. Daley was educated in the Estill school system. After high school, Daley moved to Savannah, Georgia and enlisted into the United States Army where he furthered his education. His specialty in the military was driving heavy trucks as a transportation specialist. After 20 years of active service, Daley retired. He was commended with many Oak Leafs and medals, including 2 Silver Service Stars and 2 Bronze Service Stars. Daley met and married Myrtle Stuart and to this union, two children were born. Later on in life he met and married Deatrice Hefley and to this union, one child was born. Then later he married Sandra Gerhardt. After his retirement, he moved to Ft. Washington, Maryland where he continued in his faith by joining Providence- Ft. Washington United Methodist Church. Daley also worked for Metro and Grayhound Bus Service for many years. Later he went on to work for Giant Foods in transportation. After 20 years of service he retired. He leaves to cherish his memories, his Wife, Sandra Russell; one Sister, Shirley (William) Wright of Savannah, Georgia; two Daughters, Yolanda Russell Aguiliar of California and Teresa (Gerald) Russell of Temple, Texas; three Sons, Daley (Paulette) Russell Jr. of Temple, Texas, Garcia Russell of New Mexico and Jevon (Gina) Russell of Ft. Washington, Maryland; two Step-Daughters Dinah Russell Booker and Brenda Russell of Temple, Texas; two Step-Sons, Timothy Russell of California and the late Christopher Hefley; two Sister-in-law’s Euralee Russell of Estill, South Carolina and June Russell of Patterson, New Jersey; one Aunt Bertha Lee Beckett of Savannah, Georgia; one dedicated special Cousin Rebecca Bing of South Carolina; 8 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren and a host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and extended family and friends.
