Denise Marie Hilton

Denise Marie Hilton “Niecey” aged 45, born in Washington, DC, to Theresa Holtzclaw Oswald and Thomas Hilton Sr. She was born on September 27, 1978, and passed away on May 19, 2024, in Cheverly, MD. 

Denise is survived by her mother, Theresa Holtzclaw Oswald, and her father, Thomas Hilton, Sr. Her half-sibling brothers Thomas Hilton Jr, Joseph Hilton and sister Danielle Moore and Anthony, Stepmother Dana Hilton and her grandfather George W. Hilton Sr. 

Denise is also survived by aunts Janice Holtzclaw, Deborah Martin, uncles Eric Holtzclaw, Jeffrey Holtzclaw, Paul Hilton, Michael Hilton and Debbie Holl and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Joanna Holtzclaw, her grandmother Julia Hilton, and her uncle Donald Holtzclaw Jr.  and Richard Oswald who was a father to her. 

Denise will be remembered for her beautiful smile that lit up the room.  Her beautiful soul that touched many lives. Her loving heart and her love for animals. She was a dedicated Washington Commanders (Redskins) fan and also loved the peacefulness of the beach and the sound of waves. Denise was known for her devotion  to animals and Denise also dedicated her life to serving her community thru her work at various animal hospitals and non- profit organizations.  

The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Inc. 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd., Clinton, MD on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 12 noon to 2:00 PM where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM.
