Denise Andre Williams

February 25, 1953 — August 21, 2023

Denise André Williams, a beloved resident of Washington, DC, and a proud Air Force Vietnam Veteran, peacefully passed away in her sleep on August 21, 2023, at the age of 70.

Born in Grand Rapids, MI, on February 25, 1953, Denise was the cherished daughter of Mildred Shaw and George Issac Marshall. She is survived by her loving children, Korbet Griffin (Charles) and Lysunder Williams (Shugana).

Denise was a proud grandmother to Semaj Owens (Sebastian), Matias Hayes (Madisyn), Nathalie Williams, Zoe Moering, and Ethan and Ollie Williams. Her legacy continued with her great-grandchildren: Finnegan Owens, Kingston and Kyhlia Hayes, and Gwendolyn Owens.

In addition to her immediate family, Denise is survived by her siblings: George and Mason Marshall, Marion Parrish, and Timothy Shaw. She also leaves behind a host of other cherished family members and friends.

Denise André Williams will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the enduring love she shared with her family. Her bravery and dedication during her service in the Air Force during the Vietnam War will forever be honored and remembered.
