Diane Ruth Boyd

Diane "Cookie" Ruth Boyd of Baden, MD, beloved wife, mother, Granny, and Great-Granny, died Saturday March 19, 2022 at the age of 69.

Cookie is preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Glenna Cooke.  Cookie is survived by her high school sweetheart, love of her life, and husband of 48 years, John Boyd.  Cookie is also survived by son, Nicholas Boyd, and wife Alesha; daughter, Amanda McQuaid, and husband Michael; brother, William Cooke Jr., and sister, Dawn Miller; five grandchildren (Gabie, Michael, Amina, Mason, and Sophia), one great grandchild (Braelynn); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cookie graduated from Surrasttsville High School, class of 1971.  After graduation, Cookie devoted her life to raising her children and helping to run the family welding business in Baden.  She enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, planting flowers, and soaking up the sun's rays on their catamaran. Cookie was found befriending everyone she met.  No one was a stranger in her eyes.  She was her children's number one fan and cheerleader.  Always dancing to the music and enjoying life with her friends and family.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
